A mistake that a lot of people make when trying to get their ex back is making their ex jealous. In most cases you will need to be with someone else to make your ex jealous. It can be simple flirting in a bar all the way to having a physical relationship with someone else.
Most people will become jealous by these acts but that doesn't mean they will ultimately help you get your ex back. If your ex thinks you've moved on they may also move on. If your ex ends up moving on as a result of your actions you've obviously driven them away.
If you want to get your ex back you need to stay on good terms with them during the break up period. Risky tactics such as jealous can anger your ex and this may make them fed up with you and inspire them to move on. Once your ex has moved on from you it can be very difficult to get them back so it's best to avoid risky tactics that can push them away.
